Around Town:
There are lots of things to do in Chapel Hill and Durham! Feel free to ask our volunteers any questions about places you can go while you wait for your dancer. There are lots of family friendly, indoor and outdoor activities within minutes of the studio. Including the Chapel Hill Library, walking trails, a park/playground, great coffee shops and restaurants, all just a short walk away. Here are a few of resources:
Chapel Hill Transit provides (FREE) public transportation throughout the Chapel Hill and Carrboro. There are bus stop locations on either side of the Ballet School that run routes throughout Chapel Hill, Monday - Saturday.

Public Transportation:
Triangle Transit operates regional bus and shuttle service, paratransit services, ridematching, vanpools, provides commuter resources, and an emergency ride home program for the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area, including shuttles from RDU Int. Airport every 30-60min. 919-485-7433 (RIDE).

All classes are in a dance studio setting with wood floors and mirrors. Only studio A & B are on the ground floor and handicap accessible, studio C & D are upstairs. There are bathrooms on both floors and the upstairs bathrooms have a changing/dressing room area.

New to the Festival?
Here's what to expect:
The building does get crowded between classes, but there are plenty of places to relax outside between classes including our new Café and patio area and a tented lounge in our green space.

Please be on time and considerate to all of our attendees. Late entry will only be permitted during the first 15minutes of each class block, after this time, doors will be closed. Please do not come to class if you feel sick, have symptoms of illness, or have been exposed to COVID. Contact the NCRTF if this is the case. Thank you!
What to bring:
Bring your tap shoes and comfortable clothing to dance in. Also, a notebook to take notes! Of course you can bring your phone/camera to take photos with the faculty, however we ask that there is no recording of any kind unless the instructor specifically allows it. It is hot in NC in June, so please bring your water bottle for classes. There will water bottles available for purchase at the patio café if you forget and plenty of other cold drinks to enjoy outside. Only water bottles in the studios please!

Josette's Vernacular Jazz: any clean soft soled shoe or sneaker is acceptable. Jazz shoes or sneakers work well, but so do a clean pair of Keds! As long as they are not heavy, loud, or dirty, they will work!

Body Percussion: Socks, barefeet, anything is fine here... just bring your body and get ready to make music!
