Festival Events
Aside from the incredible classes happening ALL weekend,
here are some other events to mark on your calendar!
Thursday
June 6
Festival Kick-Off Celebration!
7:00pm - 10:00pm at Namu Durham
Join us to kick-off the festival with a jazz band and jam (open to any instrument or tap dancer) and mingling with fellow festival participants and faculty. This event is family friendly and open to the public! It's FREE to attend, just order a dish or drink from Namu.
Friday
June 7
Student Showcase!
6:30pm at the Ballet School of Chapel Hill
Apply to have your choreography featured in the NC Rhythm Tap Festival's Student Showcase. This year, in a return to our roots, showcase participants will present their own choreography to our faculty panel for on-the-spot feedback. Applicants must be 21 years of age, or younger. All levels may apply. Please only submit one application. To apply, register and pay the $10 application. All applicants will receive feedback on their submissions! 10 applicants will be selected and receive instructions to register for the student showcase and pay the showcase fee of $45.

10 pieces will be selected to present to our faculty panel. When considering your work we are looking at the choreography, technique, and concept.
Applications are due May 1st, 2024. They will be reviewed and choreographers will be announced May 7, 2024.
25th Anniversary Celebration!

Join us directly after the student showcase to celebrate 25 years and toast to 25 more. Free and open to all festival participants! A time for gathering and connecting, light snacks and refreshments, a jam in studio 3, and a way for us to thank you for a great 25 years! More information to come!
